ROHAN JAITLEY
President, Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA), Central Government Standing Counsel for Delhi High Court
Rohan Jaitley is the current President of the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) and a respected lawyer practicing at the Supreme Court of India and the Delhi High Court. He is the son of the late Arun Jaitley, India’s former Finance Minister and a prominent politician and lawyer. Rohan took over the role of DDCA President in 2020, a position previously held by his father for 14 years, and has since made significant strides in cricket administration. He was re-elected unopposed for a second term as DDCA President in 2023.
Rohan Jaitley completed his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Amity University, Noida and later earned a Master of Laws (LLM) from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. He enrolled with the Delhi High Court Bar Council in 2012 and began his legal practice. He has been recognized for his expertise and was appointed as the Central Government Standing Counsel for the Delhi High Court in 2024.
In addition to his legal work, Rohan has made a mark in cricket administration. Under his leadership, Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi hosted five ICC ODI World Cup 2023 matches, and he played a pivotal role in launching the Delhi Premier League in 2024. Rohan has also emerged as a strong contender to replace Jay Shah as the BCCI Secretary, given his deep ties in the cricketing community.
Rohan is passionate about promoting sports and has worked on various initiatives to develop cricket in Delhi. He enjoys traveling and adventure sports during his leisure time.
